How did you feel about him when he first met Meg? Do you agree with\nthe reason he broke up with her\u2014because he wanted to go to war\u2014 right before Meg\nreturned to her father?<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Twenty years after meeting Aaron Burr, Meg declared\nshe would have been a thousand times happier with her life had she been allowed\nto be with him. Do you think they would have lived happily ever after if Meg\nhadn\u2019t left? <\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>The home where Peggy was brought after Benedict Arnold was declared a traitor belonged to Theodosia Prevost. Although Theodosia was married to a British officer, Aaron Burr was a regular guest, and the two ended up marrying after her husband died of yellow fever. Compare Theodosia to Meg. <\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Many historians claim that Peggy Shippen faked her nervous breakdown. As stated in the Epilogue of <em>355, <\/em>Aaron Burr stated that Peggy Shippen played an active role in Benedict Arnold\u2019s treason. How is Peggy portrayed in the novel? Do you think she was as guilty as her husband?<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Do you think Sally and John Andre would have\nended up together if Andre hadn\u2019t been killed? Why or why not?<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>How did you feel about John Graves Simcoe in the\nnovel? As stated in the Epilogue, Simcoe went on to play a central role in the\nabolition of slavery in Canada after the war. Is this in line with his\ncharacter? <\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>How did you feel about Elizabeth making the\ndecision to get the smallpox vaccine giving the dangers it presented? Would you\nhave done the same?<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Who was more of a likeable male lead\u2014Robert Townsend\nor John Andre? Why?<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>SPOILER ALERT: The novel takes the view that Sally\nwas the <em>355 <\/em>(woman) that Abraham Woodhull stated could \u201coutwit them all.\u201d\nHow did Sally manage to outwit the British?
